St Pauls Primary School Library Opening on International Literacy Day

We’re proud to announce that yesterday afternoon, on International Literacy Day and during National Book Week, St Paul’s Primary School in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town opened its new library.

This library is a collaboration with Bishops Preparatory School Parents Association. The strong partnership that already exists between the two schools bodes well for a thriving library.

The library assistant, Andiswa Buwa is eager to get going and instilling excitement in the learners to use the library. We look forward to supporting her and St Paul’s in making it a room of reading, creativity and exploration, and to learning what practices make the most impact.

The principal, Ms Mgudlwa, spoke of how the school has already seen a leap in its performance without a library since the relationship with Bishops began. She is eager to see what further difference a library will make.
