New School Library Opened at St. Augustine’s Primary

The Bookery opened their 47th school library at St. Augustine’s Primary School on Friday 13 May 2016.

In attendance was Janet Marx – the Education Portfolio Manager – at The Oppenheimer Memorial Trust – a key funder of The Bookery, The Bookery’s Trustee Chairman, Sean Farrell and friends of The Bookery and St Augustine’s, including the principal’s Partners for Possibility duo – Ms. Adrienne Kleinman and Nicky Bush.

Ms. Janet Marx hopes that her next visit to St Augustine will reveal that most of the 4000 amazing books on the shelves are “tired from use”.

The principal, Ms. Erin Groepes assured all present that it is all systems go at St. Augustine’s. A library period and a full-time Library Assistant will aid the teachers and learners in making this important resource part and parcel of the school’s curriculum.

We thank all of our funders and partners for their continued support in bringing libraries to the learners.
